After testing for Campos in the 2018 pre-season, Nissany has been confirmed for the race seat.
One week ahead of the season opener in Bahrain, Campos announce rookie Roy Nissany. The 23-year-old will be the first Israeli to compete in GP2/F2. He spent the past three years in Formula V8 3.5, where he won four races and finished 4th at best in the championship. He previously competed two lacklustre seasons in European Formula 3.
He joins Luca Ghiotto at the Spanish team.
Roy Nissany, “I’m thrilled to be racing with Campos. From my short experience with the team I have already felt a great bond, both with the people and the car. We are already determinately working on the first race’s preparations, and I am well confident we can develop ourselves in synergy and reach our goals.”
Team principal Adrian Campos added:”I’m delighted to start working with Roy. I have been closely following his career for the past two years and I think he has huge potential to unlock. As always, we will do everything we can to help him achieve success. He will improve throughout the season and certainly there is a bright future ahead for him.”
