Nicholas Latifi, Paul Ricard 2018
Round 5: who did and who did not live up to expectations?

Let’s have a look at how well each driver did in the previous round.

Top performers

George Russell

Never looked like he was going to be beaten in qualifying, and commanded race 1 from the start despite Camara pushing him to the limit up till the last corner. Unlucky not to start in race 2.

Luca Ghiotto

Despite two spins in the first race, Ghiotto took a big chunk of points with two third places, more than making up for his awful Monaco weekend.

Flop performers

Sean Gelael

With all the drama going on in the first race, he overtook his team mate and on a rare occasion when he could have scored a good result, he spun and stalled, the only one to retire due to driver error. He finished last in race 2.

Ralph Boschung

While car problems aren’t the driver’s fault, there is no other way to rate his weekend: last in qualifying, retired in race 1, stalled at the start of race 2 and finished a lap down.
