Sergio Sette Camara, Spielberg 2018
Round 6: who did and who did not live up to expectations?

Let’s have a look at how well each driver did in the previous round.

Top performers

George Russell

Led practice, took pole, won race 1, climbed to second in race 2 and thus earned the top spot in the drivers’ championship. Amazing weekend overall.

Antonio Fuoco

Some spectacular laps at the end of the feature race after excellent tyre management granted him the podium. Fought well in the sprint race to finish just below the podium.

Flop performers

Nyck de Vries

Only ninth in qualifying, de Vries lost a good result in the Saturday race when he locked at turn 4 and ran wide. Starting at the back in the Sunday race, he made virtually no progress and left the track without points.

Roy Nissany

Even at the midway point of the season, he lags behind everyone else consistently. He is the only driver still without points, and he was last by a mile in qualifying.
