Round 7: who did and who did not live up to expectations?

Let’s have a look at how well each driver did in the previous round.

Top performers

Alexander Albon

Once again Albon proved to be one that should be feared in qualifying, and, although he benefitted from Russell’s pit woes, he was there to take the opportunity and he can be a player in this championship.

George Russell

He took pole and he likely would have won if it wasn’t for a slow pit stop. In the sprint race he recovered from seventh to second, increasing his championship lead once more.

Flop performers

Nicholas Latifi

It seems that the better Albon performs, the worse Latifi does. While his team mate collects success after success, Latifi is driving well below his or his car’s possibilities.

Santino Ferrucci

Besides being always in the lower part of the running order, Ferrucci twice pushed his team mate off track, was disqualified and received a two-event ban for crashing into Maini on purpose after the sprint race.
